GetMyInvoices offers data protection compliant Single Sign-On with netID
Users of the invoice management solution GetMyInvoices will now be able to log in to their account more comfortably, while new users can register for an account even faster than before. This is owing to an integration with the open log-in standard netID. It enables secure user identification and authentication, keeping the user’s data sovereignty a given.
Anybody interested in registering with GetMyInvoices can now use their access data from netID providers like WEB.DE, GMX or 7pass in the process. Thanks to the Single Sign-On, it is no longer necessary to remember separate access data. GetMyInvoices adopts the master data deposited with the netID account provider data protection-compliantly. This way, the data will not have to be entered by hand anymore. The main characteristic differentiating netID from international Single Sign-On solutions – based on Facebook and Google – is the fact that users can effectively practice their data sovereignty. Data remains decentralized with the netID account provider. Master data will be transferred between the netID partner service and the according netID account provider only when permission has been given by the user. A privacy centre guarantees transparency. There, users are able to manage their data, e.g. change passwords or permit/revoke data release.
“As the provider of an invoice management solution simplifying a process as sensitive as accounting, responsible handling of data is of the utmost importance to us”, Florian Christ, managing director of GetMyInvoices provider fino data services, says. He explains: “This is why we are delighted that we can offer our clients and stakeholders even more comfort with a data protection compliant Single Sign-On solution backed by an independent foundation.”
The European netID foundation, provider of netID, is equally happy. “Because of the netID integration with our partner GetMyInvoices, our eco system has grown, and is thereby gaining in scope and thematic breadth. Every new netID partner is a vital step on the way of establishing a European alternative to US providers”, says Sven Bornemann, CEO of the European netID Foundation.
netID is the European netID Foundation’s login standard. The European netID Foundation was established in March 2018 by the media group RTL Germany, ProSieben, Sat1 and United Internet with the brands WEB.DE and GMX. As an independent authority, the Foundation supports internet offers of all branches in the implementation of the new European Data Protection Act (GDPR) and created the open log-in standard netID to that end. The Foundation’s initiators combinedly reach about 50 million Unique Users every month and can jointly boast over 35 million active accounts. The Foundation is explicitly open to more partners and further initiatives. For more information, check www.enid.eu and www.netid.de.
