GetMyInvoices expands to the USA

Lübeck/Wilmington. fino, provider of the invoice management solution GetMyInvoices, has founded its own US company, GetMyInvoices Inc. in Wilmington (Delaware), for the fast-growing Software as a Service (SaaS) solution for automating preparatory accounting. “We now want to scale this in the USA as well,” explains Christian Heimrich, Head of Business Development at GetMyInvoices, and says: “We already have our first customers - companies of various sizes as well as freelancers. We will establish contacts with complementary providers and expand our network.”

The cloud solution automatically retrieves invoices, bank statements and other documents relevant to accounting from thousands of sources such as online portals, email inboxes and third-party solutions. Receipts that arise on the go can be easily captured using a scanning app for Android or iOS. All documents can be managed intuitively and from anywhere using a web browser. The banking module enables automated payment reconciliation. In addition, the software transfers the desired documents to the tax advisor, the accounting solution or other applications without any manual effort. “Of course, we have already connected numerous US portals. The range extends from Amazon to Slack, telephone and internet providers, Uber and UPS to Zoom,” reveals Christian Heimrich. There are also interfaces to all American banks to retrieve account and credit card statements as well as connections to key partners. Examples include the accounting tools QuickBooks, Xero, Bill.com, Sage and FreshBooks.

GetMyInvoices is also taking a rather unconventional approach in the USA: no unusual investors, no extra staff in the country and no direct sales. Instead, the international team is close to the customers with co-creation. They can simply suggest additional interfaces for implementation in the application, which the developers implement within a short time if possible. With this strategy, GetMyInvoices has successfully established itself on the market in Germany. “In 2020 in particular, we saw enormous growth and interest in other countries too,” says Christian Heimrich. This included the USA, which is why the expansion “across the pond” is a logical consequence. “Because we want to meet demand as best as possible,” says the Head of Business Development.
