GetMyInvoices releases examples of Zaps – July 2020

Summer break? We’re not doing that! Working on GetMyInvoices is far too interesting for that. This month we expanded our invoice management solution a bit more - and created use cases for our new zapier integration. Using zapier, you can automatically trigger actions in more than 2,000 applications as soon as a new document is available in GetMyInvoices.

zapier is a web service that allows its users to automate actions between different web apps. To do this, workflows, so-called Zaps, are created once in zapier. Specifically, users define a triggering event - a trigger in one application - to initiate an action in another application.

Examples of Zaps

For Zaps with GetMyInvoices, a new document in the invoice management solution is currently always the trigger. This means that as soon as such a document is available, various actions can be automatically triggered in other applications. These include:

  • Creating a row in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel, for example if you are creating an expense overview in the form of tables
  • Sending a message in a Slack channel when you want to inform its members about the presence of a new document in GetMyInvoices
  • Creating a Trello card with details from the new document in GetMyInvoices if you organize back office tasks via Trello
  • Uploading a document to Docparser if you process your documents through it
  • Creating a draft invoice in Visma eAccounting if you use this tool for accounting
  • Creating an AR invoice in Run my Accounts, provided you do your accounting through this solution
  • Creating an invoice in InvoiceNinja if you use this software for your accounting
  • Creating an expense in InvoiceBerry if this is your invoicing software
  • Creating an expense in Expensify if you use this tool for your expense management

The advantage: You automate repetitive tasks and have even more time for other work.

Invoice retrieval from shared email accounts

If you receive invoices via shared mailboxes - that is, email mailboxes that several employees have access to and through which you send emails - you can now also link these to GetMyInvoices. These invoices are now also automatically recognized and imported into our invoice management solution. Office365 users in particular have often requested this function.

New portals

Of course, we also connected numerous new portals in July from which users can retrieve documents. These include:

  • BlueDirect
  • NetAachen
  • dphoto
  • Quickmail
  • Air France
  • Hornbach
