The birds are chirping, the trees are blooming, nature is awakening everywhere… Spring is coming. And since spring is a time when many new things are created, we have also developed some new things for GetMyInvoices. The latest update therefore includes the following new features:
New feature: Extract posts using the mouse
Most of the time, scanning is problem-free and OCR recognition is straightforward. However, sometimes there are problems when reading and not all parts of the invoice are recognized correctly right away. Previously, the elements had to be typed out by hand, which also involved the risk of typos. We have thought about this and developed a new feature: From now on, contributions can be easily extracted using the mouse.
This is how it works:
- By clicking on “Edit invoice” you will get a preview of the PDF.
- There you can simply mark missing elements with the mouse.
- The recognized text is then displayed with a drop-down menu from which you can select which element the selected text portion corresponds to.
- You can do the same for VAT, or simply select 7, 19, 20, 21 or 0% using the corresponding button.
- If the preview is too small for you to see everything, you can zoom into the document using the “+” symbol. Using “-” will make the document smaller again to give you a better overview, and using the “Restore” symbol will take you back to the standard view.
New feature: Reading users
The second innovation concerns user accounts: From now on, you can give another user read access without allowing them to change or add new data. This is particularly interesting if, for example, you want to give your tax advisor access to your account. They can then view all data, suppliers, portals and synchronization data, but cannot change anything. To grant this read access, go to the user management area. There you can manage users as usual or add new users via email invitation. You can select a role for each user that you want to assign to them: the “Reading user” role now also appears there.
