Our invoice management software is used in many industries and well-known companies. For several years now, this has also included the start-up Pumperlgsund, known for healthy eating and from the television show “The Lions’ Den”, which investor Frank Thelen was able to win over. This not only relies on products for a protein-rich diet, but also on GetMyInvoices.
Pumperlgsund from Munich, whose name means something like “healthy from the heart”, has grown quickly. Founded in 2015, it was able to set up production, develop nutritional concepts and expand sales with investment from Frank Thelen. At the end of 2017, the products were available in more than 3,000 retail partner branches. This also meant a lot of effort for the preparatory accounting. Fabian König, managing director of Pumperlgsund, explains: “You have countless different providers from whom you purchase goods or services. You either receive the invoices scattered around as email attachments or you have to click through countless online portals and download them.” In this specific case, these were around 50 portals. Accordingly, downloading the invoices and filing them took around two and a half hours of manual work per month. It also happened that documents were forgotten and the tax advisor had to request them.
A lot of manual work is a thing of the past
While researching a solution, Fabian König came across GetMyInvoices. He recalls: “The invoice management software covers a very wide range of portals. That was exactly what we needed and what was right.” After the decision, Pumperlgsund linked GetMyInvoices to the online portals on which the receipts were located by storing access data once. Since then, GetMyInvoices has automatically collected the invoices and stored them in a secure cloud. These are sent directly to the DATEV data center via an accounting solution so that the tax advisor can access them. “We are very happy with that,” says Fabian König. Pumperlgsund not only saves a lot of work, but receipts also have to be requested much less frequently.
The managing director particularly likes the “good approaches when it comes to filter options and tabular sorting options in GetMyInvoices”. He would therefore like to do more work with the software.
Wishes for the future
Two features are on his wish list. The first is a way to display the last receipt for all accounts in a list with the receipt date, amount and receipt number, so that it is clear at first glance where a document is missing. Secondly, he thinks it would be useful for his application if retrieval dates for documents could also be freely defined. “The even finer control mechanisms would make timely monthly closing possible,” explains Fabian König and hopes that his feature requests can be taken into account.
In any case, we are grateful for the suggestions and are examining them extensively so that Pumperlgsund has the greatest possible success with its protein heroes. After all, we share a common mission: to give our customers a good feeling. That’s why the topic of sustainability is important to both of us. While Pumperlgsund, for example, proves with its Happy Hen Eggs that animal welfare, climate and environmental protection are compatible with profitable food production, we have set ourselves the goal of putting an end to the environmentally harmful handling of paper receipts.
